Fix ASL.dll Blackra1n
The solution to this problem, as regards the implementation of Blackra1n is quite simple. It will simply copy the executable of the tool designed by GeoHot Common Files within the directory located within Program Files. More precisely, the paths to copy the executable Blackra1n depending on the version of operating system currently in use are:
Windows 32bit: C:\Program Files\Common Files\Apple\Apple Application Support
Windows 64bit: 64 Bit – C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Apple\Apple Application Support
Once copied Blackra1n in the right path you can run it from there or create a desktop shortcut to solve the problem calmly and run the jailbreak.

Hi, Im running on Windows Vista 64bit I went into the directed folder that you guys sent, and it doesnt show up the ASD problem anymore which is good. But now, it is simply taking forever, saying “waiting for device” a couple times it didnt function anymore as to (device not responding). Any help?

Ok I tried running it from my desktop and it says: It is not a valid win32 application. Now what do I do?
You know, if simple directions can’t be followed, then you probably have no business unlocking your phone and should stick to a phone your carrier wants you to have. Or go to the mall and pay $15 to have someone do it.
Copy blackra1n.exe into your C:\Program Files\Common Files\Apple\Apple Application Support folder and run it from there. Sheesh. It’s not rocket science, people…
I did what you said and I know longer get the ASL error, but it is now stuck on running… forever,I tried running as admin, but that didnt work. Any other ideas?
This is what I’ve done so far on my Windows vista
1)downloaded blackra1n
2)saved it to my desktop
3)an error pops up saying “asl.dll could not be found”
BUT theres no place for me to type in the paths, its just an error message.
4)Then blackra1n opens, double click “make it ra1n” and then another error message pops up saying “there is a problem with this program, windows is closing down the program”
So i understand that i can copy and paste the paths, but theres nowhere to do that
does anyone know what i can do?

i download blackra1n from blackra1n.org website when i open blackra1n it shows an error then it automatically starts when i click make it ra1n it again shows an error then stops working whats the matter man why it is no working is there any file missing or it is not completely download if someone has the solution then tell i will be thankful to him

Figured out what u r doing wrong. you need to click either start of world search for file listed up top either x86 or x64 copy and run blackra1n from there

I did what was said and double clicked the blackr1n .exe and it showed me the error again and I had to right click and clicked on Run as administrator and it opened without the error.
maybe someone else should try this.

guys when u have the running process on your blackrain just hold the turn off button on the top of the iphone and when the screen is black turn ur iphone on and wait it will work good luck
