   but beware you have to download with Explorer or Firefox, Safari does not work.

    The 3.1.3 dowload downloads, but after its done it opens itunes for some reason

    downloads this as a .ZIP and iTunes is not able to recognize the firmware that way.

    FYI, if you have an 8gb iPod Touch and the person who sold it to you said it was a 3rd Generation, then they’re wrong. Apple never made a 3rd Gen “8gb” model. You’ll need the 2nd gen firmware.

    This sucks. I accidently updated my itouch to 4.0 and now I cant Jailbreak it again.I restored it because cydia wouldnt work but I didnt know it would update it automatically. This sucks so badly
    Can anyone help?

    yeah i can help…ok sooo i had to restore my itouch when i had 3.1.2 and there wasn;t an update for 3.1.3 on blackra1n yet. well there are downgrades. get the downgrade. beware, there COULD be spam just use common sense and dont do anything that looks ‘fishy’. use youtube as a good source. that’s what i did and i successfully downgraded my itouch to 3.1.2 and was able to rejailbreak it. best of luck!

    Beware save your apps/music before you download otherwise you may have to start over beacuse not all jailbreak downloads work and can mess up your iPhone/iPod

    Not to bash this download, it works pretty well. But ZiPhone was alot more simple and 10x easier.

    What I need is an acutal .ipsw file. the Zip restore file here are a MAC. The .ipsw is for Windowsm nay suggestions. I have look all over the place and can not find 2.1.1 to work with my 16g 2G Touch.
