FIX iPhone Stuck in Constant Reboot After Jailbreak.

Although I can’t and don’t guarantee this will work 100% of the time, if you’ve tried to jailbreak your iPhone and your phone gets stuck at the Apple Logo and reboots every 5-10 minutes, you need to follow these steps:

Setting the iPhone to recovery mode allows you to perform firmware restore using iTunes.

1) Power off the iPhone by depressing both the sleep/wake button on the top of the iPhone and the home button. Wait for the iPhone screen to turn black aka screen-off.

2) Depress the home button and connect the iPhone/iPod sync cable into the docking port on the bottom of the iPhone at the sametime without removing pressure on the home button.

3) You should be able to see the Apple logo coming up on the iPhone and then the recovery screen with be shown after the Apple logo:

4) iTunes will start and inform you that it has detected an iPhone in recovery mode and you should restore your iPhone to start using it.

5) Perform your firmware restore.

6) Exit iTunes and Re-jailbreak.

7) Don’t restore from a backup, just set up your phone as a new phone, then re-sync to add back all your data and apps.

8) DONE!

    Hi,

Allthough I havn’t jailbroken my iPhone (3GS), I had recently updated to the iOS4, and had that whole autonomous rebooting problem.

I’ve put it into recovery mode, which I regret now, as when I try to restore the iPhone, it again, switches off by itself just over halfway, during the proceedure (I’ve attempted to restore it about 5/6 times :[ )

Am I stuck with a very sexy brick? Please help! x

Hi, similar to others my power had drained out over the weekend on my jailroken ipod touch running on 3.1.2 and then was stuck on the apple logo. I’ve tried rebooting with blackra1n however after the geohot picture (which it stays on 10 minutes) it restarts and is again stuck on the apple logo. I’ve retried the reboot process many times, any suggestions?

actually the solution is simples just let your ipod run out of charge whilst its stuck then plug it in and turn it on again. Works on my jailbroken ipod (ios 4.0.0) just fine…

  34. Jake says:

Thank you so much. This really works. I thought that I was going to have to go out and buy a new iPod, but no. You saved my ass here man. Thanks again!

  35. Alex Jorge says:

My iPhone 4 really have a heavy stuff from APPLE himself.

Apple contaminate my computer about 3 times (in the restore process) They see that even with all their fake errors (apple aways gives me all type of error, one after others) and I do my tricks to finish the process even when they give to me a fake USB connection issue {at this very moment I jailbreak my iPhone and everything was OK, with not need to finish the second round of restoring with apple server} until they came out with a new [unknown error] this one was the killer, now my iPhone stuck in restore continually until empty the battery. and keep over and over, from the logo symbol to the 2 restoring process, to the logo symbol to restoring process, infinity times, drawing and killing my battery… FOR THIS APPLE WILL PAY, I’LL SHARE AND TEACH MOST AS I WANT… I”LL MAKE iPhone HACKERS AS MUCH AS PEOPLE WANT TOO.

It’s almost impossible go in to RECOVERY MODE, because apple CODE the iPhone… I can do it, with out been connected to the PC, just I connect the USB cable, the iPhone came to the same cycle… [It's not virus... It's just a special hack from APPLE in to the iPhone for people like me]

I have more than couple of thousands of APP’s IPA DEB [EVERYTHING of EVERYTHING] free to download for anyone, just let me know to my FaceBook account (I’m in there live all the time) or to my email from friends

  37. Josh says:

Thanks a lot. It worked. Just got an 2nd hand iPhone 3GS and inevitably it was jailbroken. I tryed resetting it and it froze on the apple logo, and it wouldn’t work. Thankfully I can across this solution, and it worked. Cant thank you enough.

  38. Charley says:

This hasn’t been very helpful. But thanks all the same. Was my first time trying to jailbreak a iPhone 2G. Did a few things wrong after my first success then reset the phone. So i lost my jailbreak and a couple other system files. That’s when the Reboots started.

Didn’t quit get how to get the phone into recovery mode at first as must tutorials even (the jailbreak software) gave slightly different ways of doing it and mostly, all failed.

I read else where and have decided that the more standard way to get into recovery mode would be first make sure your phone isn’t connected to the dock. Turn on the phone and then depress the power and home buttons at the same time till i you get a black screen.

Once at the black scree, release the home button and plug in the phone/cable to the dock. This should bring you to the recovery mode (while iTunes has been running all the while).

    Thanks again.
