BLACKRA1N [IOS4] iPhone 4
Today I got an email from Apple iPhone news that has 4.
4.0 blackra1n still does not speak even if the jailbreak has been done.
So it should come out soon also update the firmware 4.0.
The advice is to not upgrade again until the boys unlockerteam
not have the final firmware in hand we can not unlock 4.0

I’ve an iphone 3gs jailbroken and unlocked with the following info

Serial Number: 88923(First 5 digits)
Modem Firmware: NOT SURE
Boot Loader: NOT SURE but it was untethered, most likely the old one

I accidentally pushed the “ERASE ALL SETTINGS AND DATA” button, and now the device is stuck in recovery mode.
The bad news is I don’t have any backups, and most probably done using blackra1n.
My question is how can I have my iphone back unlocked and jailbroken? what steps should I take, tools should I use to do so?
If I upgrade to iOS 4.0.1 using iTunes, will it stay unlocked ? or what ? I’m totally lost as I’m new to iphone world.
Your help will be highly appreciated

to all 3gs if your phone is unlocked u can upgrade to 3.1.3 and crack it using spirit am already using it . but it wont work if your phone is unlocked it only crack it to be able to use cydia
Soy I should refrain to update my Ipod to 4.0 until the new blackra1n is up right?

I have a 3G iphone with firmware 3.0! The phone is jailbroken and unlocked! I want to update to the firmware 4.1! Can i use iTunes to do this? is there is a risk my phone will be locked? What u recommend?

Have you try to use Blackra1n again? I got stuck once and I just use that to solve the problem.
that happened to my iTouch and i had to take it to the apple store to get it fixed, they didn’t know it had been jailbroken before so the warranty covered it

Just bought a IPhone 3g, and I updated to IOS4.0.2 by mistake. My service provider do not have IPhone. I tried Blackra1n and it obviously doesnt work. I would like to be able to use my IPhone for other uses then a singular ipod/phone/sms device. Could a kind soul tell me what I could to to jailbreak and unlock it pretty please. Thanks in advance. Got a few pinters but they ask to press option and restore. wth is option.. I am a PC user and Windows 7 WAS NOT my idea. help me :S
I have found this video last night, was getting late and didnt had the time to try it out. I do have a 3g ihpone as well.
Firmware : 4.0.2
Model : starts with MB
Ill let you know all if it works and how I did it.
I dont know the rules here so if possible ill link or give infos avbout the vidoe i used to monitor me toughout the process.
