I’m getting the error “not a valid win32 application” when running the fixed exe. It won’t run at all.

  20. PS says:

Okay, I fixed the error by downloading a new blackra1n.exe from the website, and the fixed exe is opening, but it doesn’t seem to be working – it just hangs on the “waiting for device” screen, and there’s no response at all from the device.

  32. Jonathan says:

64Gb iPod Touch 3.1.2 jailbroken. Upgraded iTunes recently and just needed to reboot following Cydia upgrade. I went into the blackra1n DLLs missing loop. This saved me! What it doesn’t say is that when you run blackbrreze (in the zip file) it asks you to find your blackra1n executable file so that it can fix it and save it as blackra1n-fixed.exe. You then run the new file (blackra1n-fixed) and it all works sweetly.

    Thanks all.

I have currently jailbroken using blackra1n rc3, and installed cydia and rock.
What other details should I be spelling out? sorry, not too familiar…
    Thanks!

  35. Leninglass says:

    This worked great! thank you!

  36. Michael says:

Didn’t work for me touch but then i found this……

All you need to do is place your Blackra1n file in following folder on your Windows Computer.

    32 Bit – C:\Program Files\Common Files\Apple\Apple Application Support

    64 Bit – C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Apple\Apple Application Support

After you have placed Blackra1n in above folder trying running from there and the error won’t appear again and you would be able to unlock and jailbreak your iPhone 3Gs with blackra1n…….

    Worked like a charm :0)

  37. Mike says:

all you have to do is put blackra1n in the apple folder that contains the ASL.dll and run it from there or make a shortcut and put that on ur desktop and run that.
    “C:\Program Files\Common Files\Apple\Apple Application Support\
